Hello everyone,
Last week my female maroon clown was swimming weird and her stomach looked like it was full of air. In my desperation I took her out of the tank and placed her in a smaller one where I began to squeeze the air pocket very slowly to assist in getting it out of her system. Unfortunately I believe this was not the way to handle the situation because although some air came out and she is back to swimming normal she has lost all her scales on both sides that were I was holding her.
My questions are:
If given time will her scales grow back?
is there any medication that will help?
and
If this happens again in the future what would be the proper way of dealing with swim bladder issues?
