Maroon clown to cycle

I just moved, so I took the oppertunity to redo my 90gal. FOWLR. It has been cycling for a week know and the ammonia is really low,no nitrite,no nitrate. It has been like this all week, do you think that is as high the ammonia spike will go? It only took a week to cycle last time. My question is do you think I could add a maroon clown yet?

Hard to say...what did you add to it? Did you keep any live sand alive? What all did you add in the way of live rock and everything else? I would probably add something more like a green chromis first just to let it cycle or if you added live rock you could use that. I would hate to see you put in a clown that is $20-$40 and lose it during a cycle when a $3-$5 chromis would be just as effective or some live rock.

I put in 100lbs of new live sand, and the 125lbs. of live rock that was in the tank before. I think because I have all the live rock and sand that is why the cycling time was low, and there wasn't really a big skike in water parameters.

I would say that you are probably OK. Since you had a lot of LR and LS. I would maybe just wait another week just to be cautious, but I would suspect you will be fine. When I started my 70 I added only 30lbs of LS and 30lbs of LR and my tank never really cycled, if it did, it completed in less than a day.
