Congrats with the pairing. Some clowns would pair right away, others take a few weeks, and some would just never want an anemone host.
And I hope you've got halides for that sebae!

Hey there heddy waht type of light do you have that under? It looks like it isnt getting enought light. Just to let you know they are supposed to be a brownish color not white.

a good regular diet of cyclopseze phlankton and mysis shrimp will help bring back its coloration along with good lighting source by feeding it small bits of foods over larger types such as silverslides they absorb nutrients more efficiantly and quickly.with less purging of waste matter

not yet they havent the largest of the 3 clowns was just introduced to the tank on new years eve.I was quite surprised to find it in the anenome peacfully with the other 2 clowns the gsm seams to be closer to the larger maroon than the smaller of the maroon the largest is a reg maroon and the smallest is also reg maroon med sizes is a gs.the largest is you noticed as turned to a darker striping

I was just wondering.. would a anemone of that type be ok in a 90 with 4 x 65 PC daylight/actnic and lunar? If the anemone was a little higher in the tank toward the light

I'd say no. First of all sebae's really need MH lighting no matter what size tank, also with a 90 gallon then you really need Mh lighting just to have the PAR to reach the bottom of the tank. Any time you have a sebea, especially when it's turned unaturally white it needs the power of the MH lighting so that it can regain its health.

Yea thats a bummer.. but better off knowing that now then having it die later... with the setup I have I also have a 250 wt MH ballast I could finally set up.. would this one 250 MH be enought to suppliment some?

my sebae is placed 6 inches below the water surface I have 4 96 w pc and 2 400W MH on my tank.it also closes up until the MH come on. oddly enough the sebae anenome is one of the hardest of anenomes to keep but yet one of the most common to find.

stinkin crappin. i knew the fish guy would lie tome. i knew i should have checked here first. i just have compact flourscent lighting on my tank (just purchased by the way). fish guy said it would be fine of course. i didnt know they were suppossed to be brown. nice. any way to get MH lighting WITH my compact flourescent lighting? this sucks. why cant they just tell you the truth.
also, my picture just had bad lighting (from the camera) tank is reallly tons lighter.... course the anemone is bright white.

depending on how wide the tank is, you can get a MH pendant. or you can get a retrofit kit and build a canopy and work your PCs into that.
