maroon clown

I've had a maroon clown for about 10 days now and all he does is hide behind a rock. I know this can be a sign of poor water distress or illness but he looks totally fine and sheepishly comes out to eat a little bit. Just wondering if this is normal and if I can expect him to become more social.

Most fish are like that. They have to get adjusted. It has been 10 days he should start to come around.Like Hermit said,as long as hes eating and not showing any signs of disease, your ok.Just keep an eye on him.My tomato did the same thing.I put in 2 anemones and he got attached to the carpet and to this day he rarely leaves his carpet. Not all will team up with an anemone but if they do its neat to see.

Like everyone said eatting is the key, as long as they are eatting it sould be fine, when they stop then there is were the problems starts. Have you checked the levels in your tank, you might want to if you haven't ? Also you did not say if there is anything else in the tank that might be picking on the clown? Good Luck
