i just got a maroon for my 11g, right now he is about an inch 1/2
and is the only fish in the tank, so he should be fine for now.
i know they can get as big as 5-6 inch, but i do not know how fast they get that big.
do not weary he's going in my 90g when he starts to get too big for the 11g.

I wouldnt keep it in the the small tank even though she is small now as she grows she might get a stress problem but thats just me. they can grow pretty quick if they are by there selfs . since there are no other clowns then the one will start to grow rapidly as it becomes a she,

if there is just one in the tank it will turn into a female even if its a male now.
and if there are more than one it will double to triple its size and become the female.

yeah they do. when they are born the are all males as the dominate females dies or moves off the alpha male changes and take the females place. someone said that they can change back to male from female but I havent been able to find anything on it yet so I dont know.
