maroon clowns

would i have to buy 2 maroon clowns or get then as a pair? i wouldnt be able to just buy them seperate? or can i only have 1 per tank. i got a 22g.

Maroon clowns get pretty big, pretty fast. For such a small tank - I would recommend only one (they get REALLY territorial!). Or going with a different, more docile type of clown like an ocellaris.

all my other perc clowns have died. mainly of ich. i figured out the what the first problem was, the temp bouncing around, but now i was away for 4 days, anemone died, paraments a little high, i dont know if my mom fed them or what ever she did but my 2 clowns died and wanted to try a different clown maybe a more hardy one

My maroon was a horror! He started out small, 2 inches or so (I had a 20 gallon) and quickly (within a couple of months) was 4 inches. I had to move him to my 45 gallon. Then he just dug up all of the sand and chased ANY fish that came into the tank around. He would even chase my hand if I put it in the tank. I ended up giving him to a friend with triggers and tangs so they held their own. I would say your tank is too small for a maroon if you're interested in having other fish. Just my opinion...
