Maroon Clowns

Right now I have two firefish in my 75 gallon and am looking to stock more livestock. Don't want an aggressive setup necessarily, color is more important (tank is in a reception area). LFS just got three gorgeous Maroon clowns and I pulled back on buying until I got a chance to fly it up the flag pole.
Are Maroon clowns considered aggressive? I thought I read something on that earlier. How big do they get? Would I be better off just going with Perculas?
They also had a racoon butterfly. Anyone know if this is reef safe and how big it will get?
Thanks in advance.

Congrat Skil on your healthy Marron Clown. We purchased one for the LFS and it died of a body slime as it was trying to get used to our condy anemone

Clownfish4life, I have never heard of that with a clown fish. I have 2 condi anemones with a maroon clown and a gold stripe maroon clown and they are happy and healthy in their condi. They have even been laying eggs next to it. (They are on their 3rd clutch).
I also looked in a clown book about condi's with clowns and it does not say anything about the slime thing. Clowns should naturally have the slime coating to protect them from the sting of the anemones. It seems like you had a sick maroon clown to begin with, and the stress from moving him from the lfs to your home did him in. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

maroons get up to 6 inches, and often are moreaggressive than other clowns, which is not to say they are all rally aggressive, but the least little bit of aggression with firefish is not neccessarily a good thign, we got a pair of perculas which are generally less aggresive, but when we put them into the tank, she tried ot show everyone who is boss, since then we see much less of our firefish, than we had before we added the clowns, which is real odd since we actually had another pair but had to take tehm back since they would not eat, and the 2d pair was the only ones we had any problems with, so i have to assume that one of the 2 were just a fluke, but which one, point being that i would avoid aggressive clowns or any aggressive fish(even the least aggressive) with firefish
IMO i would really look at a pair of FALSE perculas
