is there any other type of fish besides of clownfish that shouldn't go with maroon clowns?

yea it helps thanks, i was just wondering what fish i could put with a maroon clown, BTW got any pics of your tank, i'd love to see them.

I have a powder brown tang, flame angel, kole tang, and blue green chromis. The flame angel beat up the maroon for awhile until the clown got bigger and fought back.

are maroons any more "hardy" than other clowns like the false percs for example?

I don't think so. I've had false/true percs and my gold stripe maroon. They're all pretty much the same(in regards to being "hardy").

with my pair of maroons I have a lawnmower blenny and a longnose hawkfish, its a 30g tank, and they all get along fine

You think that is too much!! The longnose is about 3", the clowns are ab out 1" and 1.5" and the Lawnmower is about 2". The longnose will get too big for the tank, but I have a 75g that is cycling right now.

Yeah, i know it is a little too much for the tank, but my buddy just broke down his tank because he is moving across the country and he had just baught the longnose and the lfs wouldn't take it back so I purchased him for next to nothing and my 75g should be ready in a month at most (hopefuly)

My Maroon Clown got along great with all of my other fish, but as soon as it adopted the BTA in my tank (which took a couple of months) it started being agressive. It doesn't bother the hippo or yellow tang, but it chases after the chromis' (without much success by the way). It has really gone after the percula clown though. I haven't seen any signs of damage done, the percula kind of stands up to him, but definite animosity there. I was so glad when he started hanging out in the BTA and also giving it food sometimes, however not liking the aggressiveness.
