Maroon

On my way to get my new maroon clownfish. I would like to know if it will get along with a false pecule clownfish. Thanks

All depends,
How old is the perc?
How big is your tank?
How long has the perc been in the tank?
Overall, if the perc is young(under a year) and you just put the perc in within the last few months. the perc and maroon will just be territorial. BUT... When they both are mature adults THE FIGHT IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you have a 200+ tank with lots of hiding spots

I do not know how old the perc is. He has been in the tank about a month and a half. Tank is a 55 gallon. Curing a little bit of live rock with lots of hiding places. The perc has taking a likeing to the water flow and the heater, he hasn't really taken to any of the rocks. The perc also gets along with the gobie. The maroon is twice the size of the perc.

they will fight to the death. Had it happen in my 210,so they will be at each others throats in a 55.IMO, I wouldnt do it.

Misfit, How long did it take for your clownfish to start fighting. I posted this thread yesterday and since I didn't receive any negative feedback I went ahead and put the maroon in my 55 with the perc. They seem to be getting along for now anyway. I have a 29 gallon I am thinking about putting the perc in if they start fighting.

Started thr first day then it seemed to calm down after a day or two. Then after about a monthy or so it started again and got worse til the perc was torn to shreads and I had to nurse him back to health an d find him a new home. You might aright , every fish is different.At least you have a back up plan

Thanks, like I mentioned before they seem to be getting along fine for now. It might be a different story when the maroon settles down a bit.
