i just bought him at my lfs and i didnt see that one of his side fins was cut up a bit? do they grow back and if so how long does it take. hes a 1.5 inch fish in a 30 gallon tank with one flame angel thats it? thanks

I had the same thing happen to me when I got my maroon clown. There was a piece missing of it's side fin as well. The fin grew back in about three weeks.

My two seem to be getting ragidy fins... don't know the cause... if anyone knows, please drop a few tips...

How long have you had your clowns. They are probably giving each other the torn fins. Mine did that alot as they sorted out who was going to be the dominant one. I wouldn't worry about it unless it is really severe. They are often hard to pair up unlike other clown species.

Gold stipped maroon's are famous for having split fins. Don't worry , as long as he's eating and otherwise behaving normally, all s/b ok and in about 2 weeks , fin will repair on it's own.
