Ok, I just stepped in and it looks like almost all of my cerith snails are dead. Some are still alive, but there are a at least 20 scatered around on the sand in the front of the tank up-side-down. A couple of em are squirming around a little but it looks like they are dying. Their foot is just stuck out a little, but not pulled in. What is happening? All the other inverts are just fine.....:notsure: :notsure:

check your water parameters! pH, nitrate/nitrite/ammonia, specific gravity ... etc. Seems like snails are the 1st to go when something is off. Check tank temp too!

Make sure your salinity is at 1.025. I had the problem with my snail falling over, and raised the salinity and has been fine since.
Flip them back over!...they might still be alive, and I dont believe cerith snails can flip themselves back over.

Cerith are the masters of the sand bed. If they are just sitting on top of the sand then something is wrong with the water IMO. Check Salinity (as already suggested), should be around 35ppt. Also check Copper, ammonia, and Nitrite. What's the water temp?

I have ten cerith's that is never see I assume they are in the sand bed. Every once in a while I may see one of them on the rocks. Is this normal, or are they all dead and I just think there burried in the sand.
