Massive Fragging Project Started!!!!!!

Finally got the nerve to start chopping up my zoa's for fragging onto the large branching coral. This one should be really incredible looking once it's totally encrusted, which I think will take about 9-12 months.
.
I pretty much kinda clusterd the zoa's all over the place with no regard for color, it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
.
Colors for the project are:
Neon green with green skirts
Red with yellow skirts
Yellow with green skirts
Yellow with orange skirts
All orange
Teal with yellow skirts
Green with red skirts
Teal with green skirts
I even chopped of a few of my black and white's, hope they stay B&W
.
This was a pretty long project, took about 30 minutes
.
While I was at it, I decided to tear into a nice purple monti, ended up with 5 really nice frags. The little hack saw works great for this type of project.
.
The abalone shell was something I created about 4 months ago, initially it was seeded with maybe 15 indvidual polyps and is now just about totally encrusted.!

Already have zoa's opening up!...Here are some shots of the mother colonies for the frags, the others colonies haven't opened back up yet.

We have growth
I can see lots of baby zoa's, this project is going to kill me as I'm somewhat impatient...Also noticed that I have some yellow polyps that will have to be removed! Psky little creatures I wish that I had never added to the tank.
.
I'm going to add some other color morphs that just arrived, I want this branch to have just about every color under the rainbow!

If your patient to resist moving everything around you might make an x on the floor and take weekly or even monthly pics from tripod and show the growth and coverage. Be a fantastic step by step.
Going to really look great, Keep us posted.

This is such an awesome idea, that is going to look so great when it is covered, I am going to try and replicate it. I just added some yellow polyps to my tank... why do you not like them? Do they hurt anything?

It's a weedy little pest that gets onto everything, can't kill it and it spreads like crazy. A single polyp managed to turn into a 9" round colony on the back wall of my tank, ranks up there with GSP for being a pest IMO.

Very creative. i have something very similar going,I call it a fragmas tree. Its a piece of tonga as tall as my tank with holes drilled in it. For my fragsickles I drill a hole in the frag rock and glue in a short piece of ridged airline. To keep it standing straight up I drilled an itty bitty hole and strung some fishing line through it then tied it to the top of the rock, the rock is so tall you cant even see where the string is tied. Its quite a conversation piece and the frags love the flow all around them. I was curious about how you have yours standing up? Cant wait to see how yours comes along.
