matching flow rates??

Can anyone tell me how to match flow rates from a refugium to the tank..
I want to try this on a home made sump and refugium with a very slow rate of flow to harbor calerpa etc. in the refuge..Anyone got any good ideas on how to make an overflow and refuge that is easy to make..I have limited space..Under a 60hex...Thanx...

I made both my over and refugium and they were really easy to make. you may want to consider what i did and make a hang on refugium. Check my site and hollar if you have ?'s
