Mature Tank?

When is a tank considered a mature tank?
Once a tank is considerd mature with LR and fish,
is it safe to add new LR?

IMO a mature tank would be one that has remained stable with no major fluctuations in water chemistry for an extended period of time...3-6 months. LR can be added to a stable and mature system but I'd insure the LR is fully cured first...addition of un-cured LR to any system can produce fluctuations in water chemistry and as a rule is not a good idea.:thinking:
