i just purchased a maxi-jet 1200 PH just to move water around in my 65 gallon fowlr tank.. any feed back? will this be ok?

I don't think you will find anyone that will say it is a bad powerhead. They are usually considered one of the best.

Most people love the Maxijet line of pumps. I myself have had bad experiences with the Maxijet 900. I have have had 3 of them in the last 9 months and 2 of them just quit working. I was however able to replace them easily under warranty. The 2 I have now are working fine. I do believe though that the housing is kind of cheap and the air intake tube keeps falling off. I use mine for mixing new salt water and the unit is always falling off the side because the suction cups are not very good. Remember these are the 900 model. The 1200 model may be built better but I don't know.

thank you very much.. do i want to use the air hose or not? i do not think i want to make bubbles just move water?

You don't want to put bubbles in your tank. It's not good for the fish's gills. I use bubbles to aerate my new mix water and raise the pH.
