MaxiJet 1200

I just bought two MaxiJet 1200's and have placed them in the tank. They are working fine its just that one of them is produce a large amount of MicroBubbles. The powerhead is pointed up so that it breaks the surface but it is also hitting the current of the HOB Filter. Do Maxijets spew microbubbles like portein skimmers when they are first plugged in?

try lowering the power head a inch or so, and see if that helps any.

Its getting air from somewhere. Like Culp said try lowering some as it may be getting air from the surface.

Ok well it's been two days and I have lowered the PH so it is at least 2'' below the surface. I have noticed that sometimes, it "surges" with a giant spew of microbubbles. All of my other Maxi Jets don't do this. Even the one in the same tank as the wierd one. Ive taken it out and examined it, fully submerged it making sure there was absolutely no air inside, even disassembled and reassembled.

watch it. every now and then my 900's create a tornado(

) that reaches down from the surface to he PH and when it hits the PH it creates bubbles
and the PH is roughly 6in below the surface
