Maxima finally jumped!

My plating coral grew and grew and grew and was starting to shade out my maxima. I tried to get him off the rock... but to no avail.
Yesterday he jumped off to the substrate by himself

Theres a small faded out part I hope colors back up as they were basically touching and he had some good shade but healthy and happy as a clam yet

So you gonna leave him in the sand? If so put a rock under him so he attaches to it for future moving if you have to. Otherwise it may attach to the bottom of the tank.

I REALLY tried to pull him off a few months back to no avail and thought about seeing if I could even cut the little attachments to move him.
I'm going to leave him in the sand without a rock under him like my derasa. My crocea is in the sand too but attached to a nearby rock.
