When I moved, it was 3 hours before they got to thier new home. Some 5 gallon buckets and battery powered air pumps go a long way. Heres a tip, slowly raise the tank water temp a day or two before you leave by maybe 5-8 degrees. This will buy you some more time when transporting.

good tips gas, i am actually moving all of my tanks tomorrow, three or four hours in the Jeep, and some tips i've heard include putting larger fish (of which I have too many) in 5-10g styrofoam picnic coolers with tops. If you don't have battery-powered oxygenators, you can buy Oxygen tablets at the LFS. You put a tablet in the bag/cooler, it reacts with the water and releases oxygen that will help it survive for a few hours.
Also, be sure to put a lot of tank water in 5g paint buckets with secure tops, that way when you get where you're going the fish won't get a 100% water change and further stress them.
Good luck, I'll post some more tips if I encounter anything on my long move tomorrow.

5 hours of loading tanks, 3 hours of travel, 5 more hours of unloading tanks, and the move is complete.
Easy move, everyone survived. Just used 5g paint buckets with sealed tops, used Oxygenex capsules in the water, added one capsule to each bucket at the 2 hour mark of the trip.

I just moved my 120 yesterday. I have the luxury of owning a 100 gallon tub that I placed 40 gallons of old tank water with 40 of new water, over 100lbs of live rock that I have had for over a year in the tank. The fish, live rock and water are in the 100 gallon tub now. The tank is getting 100% new water (yesterday) that Im letting sit for at least 24 hours, then all new live sand right out of the bag. I will place 1/2 the rock in the tank once all the sand is in there and the parameters are correct. After another few days I will put the remaining rock and the fish in the new tank.
I am also lucky with the fish I have. Two large groupers that are super tough. I bet you could toss them in a toilet for a few hours and they would be OK.......
