maybe splitting ????

Over the last few days my anemone has completely went on the underside of his rock, i realized today the reason, one of my bulbs has went out, I turned the rock around and put the light on his side, I noticed something though.
I was going to feed him and instead of seeing his mouth i see part of the rock.?? His body is completely open and around the rock, Is this normal. His tenicles are out and he looks ok. not spread out as long as they usually are though. So is he ok, I have a maroon that always in it and love it, I hope it's ok, I've been reading about splitting so is this what he's doing??

He may be splitting, hard to tell without a picture. As long as his tentacles are inflated i wouldnt get to worried about it. If he hasnt split by tomorow try feeding it and see if it accepts. It doesnt take that long to split.

i have tried about 5 times to get the picture on the site. i have good pictures i guess i can email them to anyone who wants to see them. unless i can figure out how to get them on here. it says their to big, i made them smaller but i still can't get it to work.

open the picture in paint then go to image-stretch/scew-and do it down to like 25%

Hard to tell, it looks really white. Does it have plenty of light? Try feeding it and see if it accepts. If it hasnt split yet its not going to any time soon....

BTA's will split in the home aquarium, but many of the others do not, will not, unless stressed or forced to do so. Many that are forced often do not survive.
Agreed it does look bleached, not a good sign, but it can recover with proper lights and feeding.

Guess what?
this anemone today moved oround and off the middle rock, he is still on the rock but has moved itself around the part that was in the middle, i don't know how it's going to do. i have a little hope.I did feed him i never seen him take it, but i also put the liquid coral anemone food around it as well, i don't usually use that, i read that it's not good to use?
but i wanted to make sure he got something, and today he is better, my clown is happier for now. we'll see.
i will not buy another anemone for a long time though, i had my water tested and the only thing that aws high was nitrate, i done a top off, it took almost a gallon i used bottle water instead of my tap water(well), and now my salinity is just below the mark its supposed to be, i'm doing a water change tomorrow.
