Maze Brain Question

I have few questions about my Maze Brain Coral. It has been growing onto a nearby piece of Branch LR. It looks like if I try to move it, I will have to tear him off the rock or move the rock too. If I jsut let him keep growing onto the LR, will it start forming a dome shape on there too, or will the polyps jsut cling onto the LR and keeps that shape?
I've read that they don't take well to fragging, which I've never done anyway, so what should I do with him?

I'm sorry the pic stinks, but you can see on the right side where he's grown over onto the branch LR.

First the tissue extends out... as your has done, but there is still a skeleton forming under it. The "dome" shape that you already have will simply keep getting bigger.
If you ever wanna move the colony, cut the tissue with a razor blade, then break any skeleton that has formed and it will be fine.
But you don't "have to move it. It looks good there.
