Take a look at the links in this editorial:
"John McCain does not have the ability to fix this economic crisis. After declaring the fundamentals of the economy strong, he created a political circus in Washington last week by mucking up bailout negotiations; a deplorable stunt, considering he and his political cronies helped cause the current meltdown.
It was McCain and his economic adviser Phil Gramm who pushed for the deregulation that helped lead to the banking crisis, and it was McCain's crony Rick Davis who had deep lobbyist ties to Freddie Mac."

Forget Palin... how can anybody take this guy seriously? He's a moron and he is totally devoid of integrity. Elect him and the joke will be on all of us.

You gonna ask Obama's economic advisor Frank Raines to return his 90 million? Will Obama ever call his own people out, or will he continue to blame Bush?
Why is it just a few years ago, dems were praising Fannie and Freddie, and to day they are falling apart?

What is Maxine thinking?
She's looking to socialize more of us.

What about Pelosi, she can't get her own House in order, so she grandstands and politicisizes the bail out
The phone's ringing, but Obama can't hear it.
At least McCain tried to show some leadership, and get some work done rather than hire 90 million dollar men.

I'll take this as an admission... when neither of you, nor any other Republican on here can defend McCain's hypocrisy then it appears that my point is undisputed.
I challenge anyone who disagrees here to defend McCain's flip-flopping without simply attacking the sources or changing the discussion into an Obama/democrat bash. Is there anyone out there who can justify McCain's actions?

I won't dispute it, yet you still won't acknowledge Obama's hypocrisy on the Iraq surge..first it wasn't working and couldn't work, that later became "worked better than any of us thought it would" No Mr. Senator I thought it would work this well, you obviously have no idea how a war zone changes once you add more troops....rule of numbers moron.......kettle black what?

I agree with McCain, the fundamentals of the US economy are strong. Worker productivity is at an all time high. Unemployment at just over 6% is not horrible, and there are companies with a lot of cash. If the fundamentals weren't good this credit shortage would have tanked the economy all together.
Even with strong fundamentals other forces can still pull down the economy. So in 2005 economic retard John McCain was warning about this mess with Freddie and Fanny. Where was Obama, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Greg Meeks, Chris Dodd etc.? Aren't they the economic experts?
Well in the case of Obama, Dodd and Kerry they were lined up at the Freedie Mac and Fanny Mae ATM machine.

Well. I suppose I'm in the same boat you are. I'm voting for Palin and getting the McCain that comes with it. Not for her hot factor, but she seems to like the same things I do. More freedoms, less gov't, hunting moose...you know, American stuff.

Besides crimzy if you would do a serch on the Washington post you would see the Barney Frank was Having a SERIOUS LTR with a CFO of Freddie or Fannie when they were pushing for the risky loans. HE was pumping one of the people that he was supposed to be regulating. Think about it if he said no to him he was cut off.
