measurement of gallons in a tank

I forgot how to find out how many gallons are in a tank... If anybody knows that would be great.. Thanks

That is correct.
But if you want gallons of liquid then the length is inside to inside, same with width and height is only up to the line your water goes.

Thanks... Its been about 2 years ive been out of the hobby and I am getting back into it. Its tough trying to remember everything..

you can also google "aquarium volume calculator" and several sites come up that might be useful and require no thinking on your part.

that is correct. I have a 275 gallon. My demensions are 96in Long, 30 in Wide, and 24 in High. But the tank has 1/2 inch acrylic on each side. so I have to subtract an inch on each side. So the inside demensions are 95 long, 29 wide, 23 high
(96x30x24)/231= 2990221 gallons---wrong
(95x29x23)/231= 274.307 gallons----right

Well, technically since there is no glass on top your "inside" dimensions would be...
95 x 29 x 23.5
