Measuring Tank Size

Hi
When you post on this board and mention how many gallon tank you have, Is this the actual amount of water that is in the tank or the amount the tank would hold without LR & DSB?
Just curious!

I post not counting rock and sand displacement. When I say I have a 120 gallon tank, that would be filled with just water. If I count for displacement, I would have around 90 gallons of water.
