mechanical or air pump driven skimmers???

I keep seeing posts on skimmers, and I am wondering if I would need to upgrade to say a seaclone or remora?

WEll what skimmer do you have now? And is it doing a good job? If it's skimming well for you I dont see why you would need to upgrade. Also you might not want to get a Seaclone, I havent heard many good things about them.

I currently have an air pump driven in tank style, and it does a good job, however if I can get a better skimmer that will keep the water cleaner then I would upgrade.

I see you have a 55 fowlr, I would go for a prizm skimmer, From what I hear it works great and it is pretty cheap. I think that that would be you best bet.
