Media for a Calcium Reactor

I was looking to get some more media for my reactor. I was going to get CaribSea Med-Large ARM. Someone told me to just get a large bag of crushed coral. They said its the same thing. Is this true? Any suggestions or opinions?

first off what name reactor?
i have Reborn medium media. i don't suggest using all dead/crushed coral they are not concentrated enough.

Carib Sea ARM is fine and anything like it will also work. Crushed coral usually doesn't work, especially if you have a lot of calcium suckers in the tank. People that have used crushed coral complain that it doesn't break down as effectively

Nice unit! The Carib Sea should work great in that.
The bulk supply places sell similar stuff and usually for cheaper, just a thought.
