medication

I have a 55 gal. One of my fish is showing signs of bacterial disease and I was wondering if it is okay to put medication in the tank with the live rock. The only thing I see on the lr is feather dusters, will medication kill these?
Thanks!

The advice that has been given to me is to never medicate a tank that is scheduled to have any LR/inverts, even if it says it is reef safe. In my personal experience, i tried Greenex a couple months ago, and it killed my cleaner shrimp. Fortunately, that was all I had in there other than the fish and some rock.
Best advice is to medicate in hospital/quar. tanks.

Good advise Gator. :D
Medications can be used in FO tanks, but it is always preferable to medicate in a deadicated hospital tank.
In the case of a tank with LR or inverts, you can not medicate the tanks.
