medications for Q tank?...

After losing most of my fish to an ich outbreak, I've learned the lesson about setting up a quarantine tank for all future new fish. I'm still treating my main reef tank with KICK ICH and RALLY just to make sure there is no more in the main tank. I still have a yellow tang and a purple tang that survived the ich outbreak and now seem totally healthy in the main tank (maybe those reef-safe products actually worked!!)... Anyway, some questions on the quarantine tank...
-- What medications should I put in the Q tank? I was planning to acclimate the new fish into the Q tank (which would have water taken from the main tank just before the new fish arrive) and then treat them with MARACYN 2, MARACYN, Sea Cure Copper or Coppersafe, and MELAFIX for 5 days. I believe that would kill any ich present and also anything bacterial. Then I would transfer the fish from the Q tank to a large bucket full of the water from the main tank (to rinse off any medication from the fish) and then transfer them from the bucket into the main reef tank. Any advice??...
-- Is it okay to put in 4-5 new fish at a time in a 10-gallon Q tank? I have a powerhead / sponge filter and also a large airstone in there...
Thanks for any comments or advice you may have!...

Thanks, Ed. Just wondering... If the main tank still had ******, wouldn't it show up on the these 2 "ich magnets"? I also now have cleaner shrimp in the main tank. Maybe they took care of it. The 2 tangs seem very healthy, ******-free, and very active. I can't catch them anyway to remove them... If I don't see any ich in the main tank for 3 weeks, then can I assume that it is gone?
Also, is there any harm to medicating new fish as a preventive measure? This way I can also keep the new fish in the Q tank for just 5-6 days instead of 3 weeks... Does anyone else have any experience with medicating all new fish? Anybody have any effective "dipping" solution?
Thanks.
