the melifix marine can be used as a coral dip, 20ml per .5 gal of water. i dose the bucket while dripping them before adding them to the tank.
supposed to remove pests, bad bacteria, fungus, and repair damaged flesh.
seems to be working for me lol
the polyps i had were only half opening so i dipped it and shuck it around real good. now its fully open and doing great

I'm going to give this old thread a little bump.
I recently started using Melafix Marine as a dip for my corals, especially my SPS. It seems to be much less stressful on them than Tropic Marin Pro Coral Cure, Coral ReVive or Lugol's Solution. The Melafix also does a nice job on Acro eating flat worms and red bugs (yes, I've seen it kill red bugs).
Anyone else using it for a coral dip?

Using Coral ReVive here since I started piling on the frags. Doubt it would work nearly 100% effective, but with mostly LPS frags, ReVive and a good visual inspection it for me. For zoas, not really discussed much, but some use hydrogen peroxide. Supposedly super-effective, killing all pests, even killing algae/etc, but window for being effective or killing the coral, is very slim.
Curious on what everyone does for SPS too. Got two frags that I ReVived. Slight browning and now are coloring back up nicely.

I noticed that Lugol's and ReVive for SPS browns them out and stresses them, but they pop back from it if they're healthy frags, with the Melafix, there's no browning out.
