make sure water quality is good you wont be able to get any sort of cleaning crew with the trigger IMO take the trigger back or sell it. I know its hard to get rid of a fish but he will not be happy in your 29G  Just letting you know

You could buy a mag-float
I'm sorry, but seriously though, unfortunately theres really not much you could do to keep algae and whatnot out besides pristine water quality, and a more "short" light cycle

Yea well im probably going to get rid of him. I dont want to but i guess its the best thing for him. I dont know if my lfs will take him. But i would like to know if i can get a yellow tang for a 30?

Not enough swimming room. I am giving up my Yellow Tang that is in my 75 as he has gotten way too big for the tank, so a 30 is entirely too small.

Or a Lemonpeel Angelfish. (very similar to that yellow tang you were talking about, but only gets 3-4" max)

There are plenty of dwarf angels that are just as active as triggers and tangs IMO, Flames, Coral Beauty, LemonPeels, Cherub are all gorgeous.

i agree. dwarf angels pick on rock all day. if you have 30lbs or more, the angel will probably be fine in a 30.
