metal halide vs pc 70 watt conversion

ok I just converted my 24gal jbj nano hood over to a 70watt hqi bulb. This was quite a bit of work. I added some lunar led's a temp saftey cutoff a uv piece of protective glass and maintained my stock look. Question. Did this really do anything 70 watt 10k hqi vs. 72 watt pc. Or did I just waste my money what do you think?

go with the halide, gives you more options, is stronger, and much better. but be warned that you need to have some distance between water and light also a cover halides will heat up a tank ESPECIALLY a nano

You cant see it in the pic but I upgraded the fans to a higher output fans as well no increase in temp at all. I added a seperate 12v sourse for the fans and put he lunar lights back in.all in all took about 4 hours.
