Where can I get the best deal on a metal halide hood or retrofit kit?
I am looking for something two VHO actinics and one or two mh bulbs.
I need something that is 36" in length and 9 or 10 inches wide. It is a 46 gallon bow front tank and that 9" is between the hang on filters and where the front curves. I could possibly make a hood to hold all this and fit over the entire tank.
There is one retrofit kit I know of that is 48" long. All it is is two mh, two vho, reflector. It has the ballasts and all but could I possibly shorten it to 36"? or does that not work?
