ive been running my mh's for about 6 hours a day is this bad?? my rocks and sand are starting to look like there getting a tan, could they be burning my rocks and sand?

btw- 6 hours a day is not alot for halides. i run mine 8.
i wouldn't run halides at all during a cycle though.
