Metal Hose Clamps

Ive been using these when I set up my 40g tank with a 20g sump. I use them from the inlet to the ball vavle, to the other side of the ball valve, then from the outlet to the ball valve, to the other side of the ball valve and then I put one on my return pump. This clamp gets submerged in water when I fill the return pump section of my sump full. Its been in the water off and on for about 2 months now. I have seen no ill effects from my Mantis, corals, inverts, or fish *Knock on wood* but should I remove this and simply use plastic zip ties? The return pump output sits tightly inside the hose so its only a matter of securing it.
Should I remove the metal hose clamp and use zip ties?

I use to use metal clamps as well till I noticed them rusting. I then went to zip ties and recommend that instead of metal clamps
