Mexican turbo snail?

How do i tell if they are dead. I added 3 turbos yesterday, they moved around all day and night. but today they havent moved any, they havent even stuck their foot out. Just wondering if there dead.

You can flip them over and touch their "foot" if it moves in easily it is likely dead. They can be tough to acclimate IME, however, often they do not move during the day, but become active at night.
Oh, and if it is stuck to a rock or tough to pull up..it is still alive..can't really do this test if they are in the sand though.

Smell it.
If its alive it shouldn't smell much.
If its dead, it will be one of the worst things you've ever smelled.
