Hey all,
After seeing some really nice SPS tanks on this board, I have been toying with the idea of changing my 29 gallon to a SPS tank instead of a deep water tank. I only have one coral in there now, so no big changes. I have been looking at various sites on the web for MH setups and have found a bunch of different options. After reading peoples' recommendations on this board, I was thinking about a 250w 20000K, or maybe a 10000K with some PC atinics. At any rate, all the sites I have looked at have lists of several things to buy, but no list of all the things you need. This will be a retrofit onto the existing hood. I know I need a ballast, socket and bulb, and probably a fan, but is there anything else I need? Also, about how much should this cost? I have found estimates ranging from a few hundred $ to over $500. Any and all help appreciated.
