MH Grow Lights?

After doing some searching around, i have found several marketers of mogul style MH ballasts and kits, however they are all marketed as "grow lights". My question is, since many of these are available in pendant form, a common lighting scheme for reef tanks, can one use one of these MH pendants and simply replace the bulb with one designed specifically for the aquarium trade, one of the 12kers for example. Grow light pendant, 400w $99.95, coralife 400w pendant, $359.99 you can see why im wondering.

I don'tsee why not...As long as you match the wattage it should work.

I would also agree, you should be fine, as long as its the same wattage/style bulb. You could always check with the manufacturer.
Also, I have a friend that grew up in Chico, thats pretty cool.
