do you have to change the bulbs on a mh light every couple of months

every 6 to 8 months with normal 10 to 12 hour a day run time.

The bulbs are good for 10 t 14 months. Can I have the 8 month old bulbs you folks are tossing out. I pay $70.00 per bulb and I could really use the good ones you folks don't want.

most people change their bulbs 8-12 months. even after that most bulbs are still working and performing perfectly fine. most people get the urge to try something different before they reach the 8-12 month mark. usually the never ending trial and error search for the perfect bulb keeps bulbs exchanged long before they need to be. declining performance and color shift is rarely the cause for people to change MH bulbs.

I totally understand this...I have a 10K just as a spare now, I went 14K when I burst one 10K bulb..I replaced them both and just saved the one 10K. I only used the bulb for a week.
