What do you think about this metal halide unit on ---- for $189?

According to some research I did today, I hear that the reason that the price is so low is because it's probably not UL certified. In other words, you risk a fire hazzard or something because it didn't go through the UL certification process.
I always thought that you can make non-UL certified products UL certified just by simply plugging the item into a UL certified power strip. Is that not the case?
What is your opinion on this MH lighting?

The light looks ok for the price, but if I were you I would rather wait and try to save up for a better one or at least one that doesn't risk a fire hazzard

Sorry about the link. The board automatically removed certain words like eeebbbaaayyy. I'm on the market for a used Oceanic 144 gallon half circle, so I don't want to shell out too much on upgrading my lighting on my 90. Guess need to wait and put that money towards a new tank setup instead.

IMO lighting is not something you want to go cheap on. For the price, even if the unit is UL-listed it probably uses crappy components.
