what's your opinon. I already have a 4" fan in the rear center of my canopy. thinking getting a 10k mh bulb, but if installed, total distance from splash cover to bulb is 2". will the heavy duty 4" fan reduce enough heating problem and not melt the tank? also what's the safe distance between a mh bulb and pc bulb, will it melt its neighboring bulbs if its way too close? what's your suggestion, please input.
now i only have 3 x 96w pc, although it's very bright and intense (i assume), and my soft corals thrive. i am planning getting more hard corals in the future. i just panic that the lighting issue will be a problem.

i have mh and two things to watch. one, your water temp. that close may cause it to get hot.
second, from my exp. you will grow algae that close. good luck!
