On a 150 gal tank 6ft long would 2 MH 400 watt 14k do the trick with 2 VHO's as well. I am concerned that the 2 MH lights will not light the entire tank.Any one out the have just 2?

One MH bulb per 2 feet of width is a good amount. I have a single MH bulb on my 30" wide tank and it doesn't cover the entire width. I think 3x400 watters would be good, or 3x250 watt double ended bulbs to save on electricity costs. 250 watt DE bulbs have almost the same PAR rating as 400 watt SE bulbs.

I have been concidering them both I have been looking at a 250 HQI 14k set up which is most likely the one I'll go with.Would you say $329.00 is good price.

depends on how high you hang em and the reflectors you use....3 would be better but then 1 would be better then none.

I would say 3 also to make the light look equal but, dependin on your tanks light demands it could be excessive, you may only need 150's. What is your goal with the tank? And go w/de bulbs because you want to, dont kid yourself that your saving money, go with the because of lower heat, or u like they way the look/mount whatever. Whien I redid my lighting I decided to go mogul, just because of the expense of of the initial outlay. The power savings in my situation was less than 3 dollars a month and would of taken 56 months to break even, including bulb replacement differences. I figured within the next few years something new n better will be along :) BUT there are advantages to going de bulbs and im not knockin em.
