just bought outer orbit fixture to go in my canopy,but realized i dont have much clearance,can somebody tell the rule if thumb here?i think i screwed up here,also it has 150watt x2 plus 130watt x 2 for wattage in a 125 gallon tank dems., 60x18x24 will this light be enough to keep anemones? thank you for the input.

being that its only 150w, the closer to the water the better since its such a big tank but then you have to worry about splash and breaking the bulbs. I have 2 x 400w MH and they sit 13" above my water in a 125g. IMO

I just purchased almost the same thing (retrofit 2X175) to go in my canopy. It hasn't been delivered yet.
Any chance you can get a picture of the lights so I can see just how close it is to the top, and what it all looks like?
I would like to know, does it have to be attached to the canopy or does it sit on top of the tank?

if its retro, then it will attach to the canopy.
