Micro Bubbles

Are micro bubbles harmful to a tank, or just an annoyance. I know they can kill sponges, but do they harm corals such as leathers or other soft corals? Do they bother fish?
Thanx

I had a friend tell me the other day that when they pop, they throw salt. I guess it could lead to your salt levels going down.
I'm not sure how much I believe it so maybe someone could shed some light on the subject. :happyfish

I doubt that would lower your salt significantly, particularly given that salinity is typically climbing as a result of evaporation. It could contribute to salt creep, though. Mostly, the bubble just look a little ugly. Make your water look cloudy-ish.
