Micro bubbles

I have a start of a reef tank going with some fish in it. Now my wife wants bubbles in out tank. Is this a practice reefers use now? I have my skimmer in my fuge and my water is nice and clear. And I've read post where people don't like the bubles but I'm not sure why. My question is will this be bad if I put bubbles in my tank?

The biggest reason (IMO) that you won't find bubble makers in saltwater tanks is because of the mess it makes.
Where ever the bubbles will break the surface of the water you will see a large amount salt build-up that you will have to constantly clean.

Amen

bubble also seem to be harder to bust open in salt water and tend to go round and round in our currents once allowed in the system. once introduced into powerheads and the like their numbers seem to increase exponentially until you get frustrated of looking at bubbles. If you do not have bubble in there now. be glad, and buy the wife a freshwater tank. LOL
