I put a dead shrimp in my new tank on Monday to help start my cycle and I realize yesterday (3 days later) that there are some microscopic ant like organism crawling on the live sand near the dead shrimp. They are white and looks like a piece of dust. Should I be worry about them or is that normal?

Yes this is cruel, but i hope you realize this, a percent of all fish that get takin out of the ocean for our tanks die and get very stressed. This hobby is destroying reefs all around the world

Not according to "experts". Michael's says, in "pocket Guide to SW fish" "Most assessments of reef fish collection for the aquarium trade have shown minimal environmental impact when traditional hand-fishing methods, primarily nets, are used."
Also, as the hobby bocomes more profitable, locals will try to sustain their reefs more (example: look at the conservation Cozumel has now that SCUBA has become so profitable for the island)
