Microalgae

I feed my tank with photoplancton (Snow) and was wondering if this Microalgae will help kill off my Macroalgae, the green hair algae that is a bad problem in my tank. Or, does is make the green hair algae to grow more?

It will not use enough nutients to out compete other algae. If you over feed, upon dieing, it could contribute to nutrients
