Might be getting over my head!

I'm getting ready to setup my first saltwater tank it's a 175 gal. tank not sure what size sump/fuge to build have a 55 gal. to use. I will not start on tank till Ihave everything the way it needs to Know i need a skimmer,heaters,looking at 1500gah pump.Not sure what size lights to use whould like to do a reef tank.A man in town work on saltwater tanks is coming over to help me out some but can't pay him much so I need some advice from the members here.If i bug you all sorry but like to have all info i can before i kill any fish this is a big step up from brackish and freshwater tanks.If i missed anything i need please tell me what eles to buy

Whoa! A 175 for your first tank! I hear ya, Good luck man. I would do a lot of reading. If you have a basic idea of how you want to do it, it is not difficult. Best advice is to read and research. Dont rush in. A 175 Reef is a great tank. You will need MH lights for sure! Possibly 2, with VHO Actinic's, a great skimmer and a lot of water movement. First off, grab a book or two and read. Knowledge is critical in this hobby.
