Mighty Putty?

I just saw a commercial regarding a product that seems to be very similar to REEF EPOXY. The product spokesman is the guy from OXYCLEAN or whatever the heck its called. It apparently goes by the name MIGHTY PUTTY and has the same color of green on the outside white in the middle, it a tubelike shape and mixes until it is white. The commercial shows how you can use it for many household items. I will make call in the morning and call the manufacture and get a MSDS sheet and see if it is made up of the same chemical composition. Until then, for all those out there that happen to stummble across this, please dont use it for aquarium use.

If it is, it might start flying off the shelf as many people will want to order it as it seems cheaper than the actual reef epoxy. If it is the same compositional make up and I find the manufacturer and being reef safe, I am going to start carrying it.

I've seen that too, and it does look like it, but hobby putty really doesn't "bind" as what is claimed in that commercial. Of course, that commercial maybe a lot of BS too.

Comon everyone... that's Billy Mays!
That guy is the man. The next time I have to hang a towell rod on glazed tile, Rather than getting out my trusty drill bit and swinging it into wild spirals causing the tile to unsurprisingly crack, I'll reach for my mighty putty!
It's also useful if you want to tow semi trailers loaded with bulldozers apparently.
Speaking of BS commercials... anyone seen the one for the Riddex Plus? Google it... their commerical is on their web site.

My husband busted out laughing at that particular scene with the tile.
Looking up Billy Mays led me to a whole website dedicated to infomercial frauds. It was awesome

My fiance laughs at me because I can see a commercial come on for the first time, mute the TV halfway through, and finish it off verbally...
"But wait... call now and we'll double the offer!"
It's always seemed funny to me... they say you get blah blah blah, a $40 value, for only $20.
... well then I'd say it's only a $20 value...

Or the ones that say "Order now, and we'll throw in a second one for no extra cost!"
How about you just give me one at half the price?

I just got off the phone with the vendor. They have no idea nor any info. on the manufacturer. I was told that if and when she came across it, she would mail me something. Yeah right......I have a better chance winning the lottery and I dont even play.
