Well reefkprz inspired me and he got inspired by reeforbrains, I think, to blend a mushroom up. So I joined in on this project. I got my lights today, and still need a timer and some snails. I got two mushroom umbrellas to be my test dummys. Later on I want to try other mushrooms and even try sponges. I will get a link of reefkprz thread on here soon, but here are my pics of my own project. I'll update with pics whenever.
Day1:New lights

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. My internet has been down all day. It is going to house the blended mushrooms. I'm planning for monday or tuesday to start blending. Thanks everyone for the comments.

I don't see how I could lose that much. Only 16$ for the corals. And if that doesn't work, then I'll just reguraly start fragging mushrooms. But I have complete confidence in reeforbrains, reefkprz, and this expirement.

Tonight I'm cutting the shrooms off the rock. Tommorow transportation and acclimation. Tuesday, blender!

Wow what a freaky expierence. My respect for reefkprz and all you fraggers has gone through the roof. I cut the one to the right, and it fell into the hole! I couldn't get it out, I think it may die, but eventually I did get it out and put it in the baggy. The next was easy because I knew more of what I was doing and it didn't fall in a hole

LOL. I got photos of the whole thing, trying to get the coral&rock out with one hand and taking pics with the other, LOL. I forgot the cord to hook up the camera to the computer at mom's, but luckly I'm going there in a little bit, so pics are coming soon.

Well I put them in, and floated around and one postioned itself on the ground. I turned of all the pumps and powerheads. Reefkprz, anyone, help!

Is it dead? DId i need to attach it to something? I was under the impression I didn't because of no rocks in the tank

keep us posted on how this ends up for you, it looks like it is a perfect system.
I am too scared to go chopping away at my corals.... so Ill just watch YOU do it! lol

Ok the corals are settled down but I don't want to turn on the pumps! What should I do?!

I turned on the pumps and they are still on the bottom. Are they dead? They're shriveled up. Here are pics. They still got color. How lond does it take before they open up again? Is this natural, am I doing ok?
