miles / devil lionfish

3 questions!
1. how big does a miles /devil lionfish get? most info i find on them sites selling them say they get 12". however other sites show them at 8". all the sites talk about the different number of spines between a devil and a vol lion. so can somone confrim how big they get.
2. started my tank over a year ago with one fish in mind to keep. a lion! volitan is what i had in mind regaurdless of there 15" size. so i started out getting some others that would make the tank look pretty and figured they could get up to a good size befor i bought a small vol so they others wouldnt be instant food. a year later still no lion. hurry up and grow other fish!! so i said time to get a lunar wrasse, another one of the fish i always wanted. the wrasse named davey jones has done a nice job of trying to kill my perc clown and diamond goby, got both out and moved to sump tank, and both are still alive 2 months later. but the wrasse dont bother the 2" file fish. he dont make any sense to me lol. any way i here some fish like to nip at lions fins is a lunar wrasse one of them or does it come back to each fish is different.
3. can i put these guys together or is this certin disaster.

lunar wrasse already have in tank
fox face already have in tank

1. To be honest, I have yet to see a correctly ID'd P. miles in a LFS or wholesaler. However, to answer your question, the wild-caught size of this fish can be up to about 14" TL, so plan on growing one in captivity to 12" TL or so. This species has two fewer dorsal and one less anal spine than P. volitans, and has numerous close-set tubercules along the cheek.
2. That Thalassoma
wrasse is likely to be an issue since it's already in residence. They become large bullies, as you're finding out. While I've never seen one bully a full-grown Pterois sp.
lion, I have seen one kill a dwarf fuzzy (the lion was bullied into a corner and would never come out to feed). The wrasse may be OK with an established, large lion, but I'm not so sure a nooby would be tolerated.
3. The niger trigger and Diodon
puffer are a "maybe" in terms of lion compatibility. You never stated your tank size or setup, but you've got a lot of bioload already. Also, unless you have an 8 foot tank, I'd reconsider the powder blue tang. This species is very prone to "cabin fever".
