So now you support a complete gun ban?
You know my stand on gun control and the 2nd Amendment. Your problem is you have this 'all or nothing' attitude about gun ownership. There's no compromise with you when it comes to limited access of certain weapons. You take the fearmonger approach that if you allow them to take one, they'll eventually take them all. My beleifs are that the only way that could happen would be a total modification of the 2nd Amendment. Like I said, that's one of The Taboo Ten. There's no way on earth that any Federal Government administration could muster up the support, or even want to attempt to touch that Amendment. If you don't think that would be political suicide for anyone who'd even mention it, then you really have no faith whatsoever in the political system that this country is based on.

OMG!!!!! You have no clue of history. we were actively hunting bin laden BEFORE 9/11? Bin Laden tried to kill Bush 1? Seriously? Because you are the only person in the U.S. with this information. What scares me is you vote also............Show me one piece of news, info, or anything stating this was what happenned before 9/11.
I will as soon as you show me what evidence that gave the USA the right to invade Iraq and disreguard the U.N. Here I'll help you out 1) Oil 2)WMD. Okay why are we the world police? Secondly where are the WMD's? Show me articles, pictures, or use crayons to draw some. They don't exist nor have they ever.

My statemnent was from a direction on an all out ban. THAT was what the topic was. so my approach was an all out ban...you came to the defense of the poster regarding an all out ban...just because you know my gun stance anyway. so you sided with the opposition to my stance just because you think I am unbending. So basically you supportted an all out gun ban based off your comment, just so you could debate with me on the subject for the thousandth time. I bet if I was running for office you would vote for the other guy even if the wanted to ban fish keeping and puppies.
I didn't take the fearmonger approach. I just expanded on the approach the poster was using. Showing the poster the approach was not sound.

There you go. But this is a typical action of your type. I called you out on your statement...so instead of backing up what you claim, you totally change the subject and deflect the subject because you are wrong and ignorant on the subject.

When did I ever defend the OP regarding an all out ban of weapons? Think you're misinterpreting what I stated. I know very well what your stand is on gun control. Believe me. We've already kicked that dog about a hundred times around here. The last thing I want to do is rehash that pointless debate. And yes, you are unbending when it comes to ANY type of gun ban. You now telling me you're not? When I stated you were a fearmonger, it had nothing to do with your debate with the OP. It is a general observation of your philosophies of what youu think would occur if the Feds were allowed to ban even one type of gun. Read what I said again. And for the record, I DO NOT AGREE WITH AN ALL OUT BAN OF WEAPONS, OR THE REPEAL OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT.

Explain how my stance on gun "control" is fear mongering. Especially when comparing it to the other side's argument of death...is not death the ultimate fear tool?
Oh, and I figured you were supporting the poster I was debating when you piped in and oppossed my view (based off your post) against a gun ban.

Preach it! And we should go arrest bush for killing all those innocent Iraqi soldiers. And Cheney, and Donald rumsfield too! YEAH!!!! and we should not only do that, but lets give 100,000,000 dollar reparations to each of the families effected by our murderous deeds!

Well if we're not the government, then why vote at all? Why admonish the people who are in office? Did they just magically show up on the Congress doorsteps and say, "Hey, I'm here to rule this country, and do only what I beleive in. To Hell with what anyone else thinks"? We as American citizens allowed for the corruption in Washington to happen. It's no one's blame but our own. We put some these career politicians up on their pedestals, and are too stupid to get rid of them when they get swelled heads and think they're invincible. People sit around and complain about "Big Government' taking our rights away, but don't want to do anything to change because their mindsets are "That's how it is in Washington. I'm just one person. I can't do anything to change it." I think this Tea Party movement actually is a start in that direction. However, the mindset of that group appears to be leaning WAY to right, thereby disenfranchising the other side of the group. Form a group that tries to stay as close to center as possible, and I'd even join that one.

The problem is people tend to go about their merry way and ignore the problems as long as their flowers are still blooming. It's times like now when the water gets turned off and the weeds take over that people start paying attention.
The tea party is pretty conservative but so far seems to be focusing on fiscal issues only. If they could stay on that course it could really be the start of something but I have a sneaking suspicion the supreme court nomination is going to bring out the anti abortion crazies and the libs will try to brand the tea party as a bunch of bible thumpers

Which Tea Party? The kind of fringy but hearts in the right place Ron Paul supporters or the Faux News sponsored Glenn, Shaun and Sarah hosted party for the far-right that has taken over that is looking for Kenyan birth certificates and does not really have a platform except a clear confusion between the politics of Hitler, Stalin and I guess the Joker from Batman? LOL
Fishtaco (I really do like Ron Paul)

Still can't get over your Fox News neurosis?

If what the Tea Party is pushing is far right sign me up. How dare we expect the government to live within it's means.

The reason he was doing that was because Bin Laden put a hit out on bigger dummy Bush but failed and bush failwed to take Bin Laden out. So yeah check your history yourself before you start saying something. Plain and simple for every action there is a equal and opposite reaction. We deserved what happen to us.

With the level of ignorance your Bin Laden post demonstrated I don't think I'd be calling anyone out on a typo.

That is a fine message, it is the rest that I have a problem with, when either the far-right or far-left start disrespecting the current president or Bush, then it is giving aid and comfort to our enemies. Way too many of those type of people who are getting a thrill from the hate and I am going to pass on the tea and just vote in November thank you very much. What are you going to sign-up for, a 500.00 dollar a plate Palin dinner at one of these "GrassRoots" events where she is speaking?
As far as Fox news goes, it is just the mirror image of MSNBC and when you defend them as being the good guys I can't blame you, everyone likes an 3-4 hour ego massage every night and being told how right they are. LOL
Fishtaco (your friendly local independant voter......swing)

There's a reason why Fox is number one and they wouldn't be there if they were the right wing propaganda machine you make them out to be.
As far as disrespecting presidents the left opened that gate when Reagan was in office and both sides have taken it down hill from there.
Speaking of Fox you should catch the rerun of Beck's show tonight. I think you will find it highly interesting

You fear that if we allow the government to ban one type of weapon, then it's a foregone conclusion that they will ban them all. That's what I mean by fearmonger.
